Youtube 480p quality

Hey guys,

After fixing the problems I had with converting and rendering a video I finally got it to upload to youtube. At 1080p fullscreen the quality is flawless similar to what I was actually playing at. But if you scale it down to 480p text becomes blurred unreadable which compared to other videos of the same quality is annoying.

Any pre-render settings in sony vegas I should know about or template customisation?

You don't have to bump every few hours...

If the 1080p version looks fine, then Youtube is downconverting itself (obviously) and you won't have much choice in the matter.

Try Vimeo instead? The quality is much better from my experience.

I think I know how to upgrade my quality. If I render in a higher resolution than 1080 all lower resolutions on Youtube will look better.

Am I right on this?

If I rendered in 4k or below would that fix my problem of text looking blurred at 480p because as I have said 1080p looks fine.
