Youtube Account Question

Hi guys,

does anyone know if its possible to change your Youtube username?

Its linked with your Google account isn't it, so if I delete it, will that delete my Google account, because I really don't want that to happen!

Is it possible to have two Youtube accounts on one Google account? If it is I could just do that, right?

People keep asking me things in french, its somewhat annoying, hence the need to change it.

Edit: Right so I deleted the Youtube part of my account, and now instead its showing my real name on Youtube, which is less than ideal, as its decided to sign me in using my Google profile.

Why has this got so complicated? Damn it Google, stop buying things!

Edit 2: Oh nevermind! Sorted it out now! You can delete this thread!

No, it won't delete your Google account. It says above the Close Account button, "Closing your YouTube account will not close your Google Account."

You can't change your YouTube username, so you'll have to create a new account.

Delete your account, then it will automatically sign you into your Google profile on Youtube instead. when it does that click on My Channel, and it will ask you to name a Youtube username. And thats it!

There's a migrate option too somewhere if you want to keep anything from your old account. I didn't.

I wanted to do the same, my username was linked to my old @ntlworld.com email address which in turn was used for google too, I deleted my google profile linked to that old email and of course it deleted YT too.

I signed up to a gmail and tried to register again with YT but had to use a different username which was annoying, I even wrote an email to them and asked a question on google's support pages but to no avail.

I have a different YT/Google question:

When I created my YT account I entered a random birthdate and unforunately it was slightly underage and now Google and YT think I'm 17. What's incredibly stupid is there appears to be no way whatsoever to change your age on either your YT account or your Google account. Anyone know a solution?

I would love to keep everything and migrate it. It has a really stupid old name I used to use.
