Guys,

Anyone know of a downloader I can use that is not a browser plugin preferably web based.

I have torrentflux for torrents, sabnzb+ for nntp but fail on a generic http get.

I tried fatrat but that doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas or recommendations ?

I use Greasemonkey, and then the "Yousabletube fix" script for it, it is browser based, but it basically adds a download link to the youtube video page, as well as other options such as video window size.
 
Yeah I'm on a similar path ... I'm trying downloadhelper and trying to push the url to fatrat or wget4web no success as I'm getting http 4xx errors maybe that "Yousabletube fix" is the key but is another step that I could do without

EDIT: Heh Yousabletube fix is a greasemonkey script ... This might be doable !
 
Pants ... it doesn't work since I'm using a different machine/user agent and hence am losing my cookies...

2011-01-29 22:12:53 ERROR 403: Forbidden

Obviously the link will work in the browser of origin but not anywhere else.

Need to rethink this
