Vista Business, FF 2.0.0.9 & the latest Adobe Flash player.

Any video via YouTube takes a minimum of 1 min to actually start playing :confused: Have uninstalled & reinstalled Flash & also checked that Quicktime is not trying to 'claim' the swf format & thus causing the delay.

But no change.

Just downloaded Opera & the video will start straight away..No hang or wait at all :confused:

Anyone got any other ideas what maybe causing this? It is obviously a FF\Flash issue, but can't for the life of me think what!

Many thanks.

Not really sure, but I do have a few suggestions:

Any FF plugins that could be conflicting (ie videodownloader etc.)

Also what about FF network connection settings. Any proxy in there?

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings

It could also not be a FF problem - firewall, blocking FF and when it times out shows the video

Thanks :)

Have now narrowed it down to Kaspersky & its 'Web Anti-Virus' option. If I disable it all is fine, re enable it & back comes the wait.

Strange how it does not effect Opera though :confused:

But I am getting closer!
