First they completely mess up the profiles page ( much harder to just go into someones account, and middle mouse button like 15 vids to watch later in new tabs).
Then they ruin the overall interface, no more rating video's 1-5 stars and moving the video description from the right of the vid to the bottom ( hello, more and more people have WS monitors, now youtube wastes even more screen space.) and adding a vid to your favorites takes a click extra.

And they removed the option to always play video's in high quality, WTF:mad: ?

I can only pick from these 2 now:
I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video.
Choose my video quality dynamically, based on the current connection speed.

No more
''I have a fast Internet connection, play in high quality when available''.


Finally it now keeps logging me out completely at random once in a while, no idea why. Before, I used to be logged in for at least half a year before something happened that I had to re-enter my UN and PW.

Anyone else thinking all this is rubbish and prefer the good old youtube and profiles back ?

I hate the new look, i hate how i cant pick 480p or whatever over 3xxp at the least. The login is fine tho i aint been logged out for ages.
 
Youtubes been crap for ages now, most vids on it seem to load painfully slow nomatter what time of day or night it is.
 
The new layout doesn't really bother me. But the removal of HQ by default is really annoying. Are YouTube really trying to conserve bandwidh?

Sounds like this is inline with their now really harsh stance on viewing youtube on devices other than computers eg media streamers etc. They've recently removed the options to view HD material at all on on such devices and made it much harder to search etc.

to see the comments with no rating you can't watch the vid at the same time ethoir thats the only grudge at this moment
 
I haven't liked anything that's happened to YouTube since it's been Googled. It's just become less and less user friendly, first all of the adverts, now they've even destroyed the layout and how deliciously simple it was before. :o
 
Does this really matter?

It's a privately owned site so who cares. If people don't like it then they don't have to use it.

It's not really difficult to switch to HQ/HD every time and whilst I do get frustrated by the occasional slow loading times and some of those terrible forced adverts at the start of some videos, overall I just don't care that much.
 
Well we're going to have to get used to it:
- They're the biggest online video streaming place
- They've got monopoly on the market
- They can do what ever they want

Obviously I don't like it myself, but what can you do?

But the main point is Youtube is free. There is more to be said about something like Ebay/PayPal then Youtube but even then, ultimately, people still don't have to use them.
 
I've been in a constant battle with Youtube to keep my location "Worldwide".

Not content with sending me a message every other day telling me to change my location, a few weeks ago they decided to do it for me, no message, just changed it.

I refuse to be pigeon-holed into a "local" Youtube, people in this country watch too much football and crappy pop "talent" shows.
