Youtube graphical glitches in Firefox

Anyone else getting weird graphical glitches when watching youtube videos? Parts of the graphical interface don't seem to refresh properly or don't render at all sometimes, until you manually refresh the screen (e.g. minimise and then maximise the screen or scroll up and down the screen) or if part of the user interface changes, like the playback time. The actual video frame itself seems to show up fine though. Here are two screenshots showing what's happening:

This problem started to happen after either a recent adobe flash player update or firefox update, though not sure which. Also, it doesn't happen in Internet Explorer.

Any ideas?

Yep jaybee, that seems to be the problem. I searched google, but couldn't find anything relating to this specific issue. I will try an older version of flash to see what happens.

Thanks!

I only get the glitch on embedded videos on these and a couple of other forums, the actual youtube page and other sites are fine. Usually scrolling the page a little will clear it up until it starts happening again - only started happening after the most recent flash update.

Try this..

How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

I just disable the new protected mode headache they added into the new Firefox Flash plugin and all sites work right, even with their "updated" Flash plugin version 11.3.300.262 it is still not 100% right their fix and still causes strange things on some sites.

Follow how to diasble the protected mode and see if it helps you, I have mine disabled now and it works 100% fine and has all the latest patches atleast so I don't understand why they say to downgrade Flash on firefox's help site when just disabling the protected mode is a more secure method.
