Youtube iOS (& Android) offline viewing

This is great news. Many a time I board a flight wanting to download a clip (say a tutorial on a game or some DIY stuff). especially if travelling to another country with roaming charges.

Step in the right direction.

and will let viewers store videos for disconnected viewing for a "short time." We don't know if that consists of minutes, hours or days at a time but we'll keep an eye out for more details -- perhaps this is what the team that used to work on video responses has been up to.
