adds AirPlay and support for iPhone 5 display..

Three months after releasing a standalone YouTube iPhone app, Google has brought it to Apple's iPad. The latest version of YouTube for iOS also includes another long-awaited feature: support for the iPhone 5's 4-inch display. Videos will now fill the entire screen on the latest iPhone and iPod touch hardware.

I don't have an iPad but know a few friends with them that were frustrated with the lack of support; I'm sure they'll be relieved now.

Jasmine is better purely for it's 1080p capability. Only shame is, that links can't be automatically directed to open within Jasmine itself.

Youtube app's automatic resolution based on bandwidth is rubbish and useless.

Anti-climax really. People have had enough time to get used to Jasmine and YouPlayer over the last few months and both actually seem better than this official app. The way you can listen to audio in background when minimising those and setting video quality trump anything the official app can offer.
