youtube on snow leopard

hey,

i just recently installed snow leopard on my macbook and have been trying to play some youtube vids but nothing comes up. I installed the recommended update from adobe which is version 10.2.152.26 but still nothing on youtube... any ideas?

Have you tried to restart the computer?

Apart from that, I'm not sure, but go to www.youtube.com/html5 and then join the program. That way, YouTube videos will play through HTML5 and not flash. Usually means the machine runs quicker as well.

hey, thanks for the links guys... i used the extension in the end cos i couldnt get flash to work.

Bit strange, I watch youtube in Flash on snow leopard. Do you have any extensions etc on your browsers that might be blocking the videos?

Perhaps plug ins is unchecked in Safari preferences?

yea i just had a look at that and it was checked already.. weird.. maybe cos i got an old mb 13 2008 model??

I fixed my Dads by running his safari in 32bit mode, works like a charm now.
His is the older white 13" macbook.

That's probably understandable if they've written flash as a 32bit kernel extension (and major security/stability risk!!).
