*** Youtube/Video thread ***

I have to say, the video I'm about to post is one of those that definitely come under the heading of YouTube Gold.
While it's had its fair share of views, it's certainly organic in the sense that there are no ads and the chap behind it is very much an amateur in terms of video production techniques and that, I sense, is the attraction - as well as the subject matter of his video; a cycle trip from South Wales to China.

Yep, that's right & the subject matter is treated right from the off as though it were the most normal thing in the world to do - like a 2 hour Sunday morning ride with your local club. I just can't get over the ostensible lack of preparation - a 10,000k ride through hostile terrain & weather with just a Decathlon tent for shelter? No spare tyres. At one point he's in the peeing rain in the middle of Georgia without a coat because he left it at the previous night's hotel. It really is a captivating watch.

At least he did the sensible thing and avoided the Iranian or Russian leg - as much as it sucks if you are setting out to do something like this it is just stupid in the current situation doing it for the sake of it.

Yes, a short flight from Tbilisi and then on through the 'stans was the only viable option really.
