Hello GD :)

I couldn't find anywhere else suitable for this so i just thought i'd post it in here (move it if need be :p)

Anyways, read below and in the fashion of GD i expect some stupid comments.

So, after watching some subscription videos on YouTube of Philly D's Vloggity, (channel here - http://www.youtube.com/user/PhilipDeFranco) I found that there is a new BETA Version of YouTube or some sort of New Skin or HTML 5 something whatever, and it is named Cosmic Panda.

Activated mine, used it, and still am after a few days. :)

I like it, here some screens of the "My Channel" which is the most impressive part. Also some "Resizable Video" screens too, so you can have 3 different sizes, ultimately; Small, Medium and Large, and obviously Full Screen.

This screenshot you can see you can customise the layout of your channel to 4 pre-created layouts.

Here is your basic layout (On my personal channel :p). Your own videos are displayed first, with your own playlists at the side; My Favourites and other compiled playlists etc.

This page basically shows the 4 playlist i current have; My Faovurites and so on...

Here is the community tab, which is basically a news feed for YouTube. It shows my recently Favorited videos as well as allowing you to post a status/bulletin i presume.

This is the Small video size when playing videos on YouTube. This is the same layout for any video on YouTube.

Here is the Medium video size, also available for any video on YouTube.

Here is the Large video size, also available for any video on YouTube. One thing too for all of the video modes, if you are in a playlist, you have a "Previous and Next" button either side of the video window, as you can see in the screenshot below.

I posted through Photobucket.

They are 1920x1080 screenies but when posted here they scale down slightly, for some absurd reason.

At windows? Apple fanboy.......
 
Completely agree, the video sizes are too small now.

I'm trying to find a userscript to switch it back to the cosmic panda style.
 
I don't have a problem with the new layout, everything just works and it's nice to look at.

Then again I don't tend to complain about stuff just for the sake of it because it might inconvenience me for all but 5 minutes.
 
I just hope that they do not eventually force all users to update their channels. I like to play videos on the old channel pages, i could play a video and then the next one that worked great. Now if i play a video it loads it individually, benefit is that i can increase the size, but i am forced to use the playlist which i have never liked. Also it randomly loads more than a certain amount of videos on the playlist and sometimes when you click on a video it does not even load a playlist, it just shows this little box with three videos in it that appear to be random as well. So then i have to click back, which i think is a major step backwards in functionality.

So not a minor inconvenience after all.

cosmic panda was better than the new layout imo and i was not a fan cosmic panda either.

I could go on, they removed channel comments completely, which sucks, the feeds section appears to be useless and some of the playlists are realy slow to load, which is not surprising when some people have 3000 uploads and it loads in to one playlist.
