Yucky font

Windows automatically restarted my PC today some time while I was at work.

It hasn't been restarted in over a month, so I can't really tell what caused this, but all my fonts are horrible and italic all of a sudden.

Any ideas how I can reset back to the default Windows 7 font?

It's still set to Segoe UI in the settings, so I'm not really sure why it's done this.

Check the default font isn't missing from the fonts folder.

Yeah, it's Segoe - it's still set at that which is the weird thing.

Even when I choose Segoe UI in Word it's in italics for some reason :confused:

your PC is probably missing the non-italic Segoe-UI font file. try yoinking it from another windows7 PC

I'm going to try that now, but it is installed. I can preview the font and it looks fine from there.

Well, that fixed it. Guess it was corrupt somehow. Would love to know what messed with my fonts :/

Glad it's fixed it. i've only had it happen to me once, and i've seen it happen to others, but it's still a pretty rare thing. no idea what causes it. :confused:

Yeah, very strange. I don't recall installing anything or doing anything dodgy during the time it was up, something must have corrupted them :/
