z-2300 sub problems

ive got a set of z-2300's but ive only realised recently that the right channel is distorted, static comes through and its not as loud as the left. Its deffo the sub as i swap the speakers over and the distortion etc is transferred to the other speaker. Also i tried using it with an ipod to make sure it wasnt the x-fi. Again its the speakers.

Basically am i gonna have to send this back to logitech or is this a common prob that can be fixed

If any of the sound system is in a close vacinity to the monitor there can be all kinds of trouble. Does this help at all?

btw it doesnt seem to have helped when i move the sub away from the monitor. Any other suggestions
