Z-5500 on way out?

just now i plugged my headphones into the controller and it just went dead. the back light and power button light went off but could still see the writing on the screen, had to unplug at the mains and unplug the controller from the sub to get it back working.

this is the first time it has happened is it on its way out?

Could be a 1 off, cos ive had my z-680 (the mother of the z-5500) system for 3yrs now and Its been used every day for 3yrs and sometimes Ive thrashed too, and its still going strong and never had a single prob with it.

ive had mine close to 2 years now, used every day, have been thrashed on occasion but nothing over 3/4 volume.
