Hi all

I've finally decided I can allocate a budget for a new set of speakers and I've narrowed it down to the two in the title.

Now, let me start with this:

I want the speakers for basically everything: games (pc & consoles (analogue via x-fi)), tv (it has an optical out which ill connect and then upmix probably via dpl2 if i get the logitechs), movies (via coaxial out on x-fi) and music (via analgoue x-fi). I do like loud volumes but that is NOT the priority here... I want the better sound quality between the two.

Both sets are available here in Malta for the same price so that is not an issue. Please do recommend seperates as I do not want to go down that route (price is an issue when it comes to this!) and I do want 5.1 (a low end seperate 5.1 setup costs at least 3 times as much as the logitechs :(!)

So if possible I would like peoples opinion on how the logitech and creative sets compare / perform in the following (especially with regards to the subwoofer as some say the logitech's subwoofer is too boomy...):

Music: Especially metal, trance and jazz

Movies & TV: All kinds of movies really ... tv I only watch sports so its not such a big deal

Games: I love 5.1 sound in games, I used to play online in competitions and LANs and had to use headphones.. I quit it all just because I hated the headphones! So again, which one you reckon is better?

Thanks in advance to anyone who bothers reading & answeirng :p

Gigaworks S750 owner here, great bit of kit.
Amazing for games and films thanks to the huge power at your disposal and even for delicate music they are a very capable set of speakers.

On a side note I see you live in malta, I have a place in Gozo myself *waves across the channel* :p

Hmm do you have your speaker set there ? :P I went out and bought the Z-5500 as they were slightly more popular I'll come over check if I made the right decision!

That said, the Z-5500 are amazing for movies and seeing as that was my priority and I'm satisfied with the quality I think I made the right decision :)... Going from a set of P580 5.1 to them was definately a nice change!
