Forgive my ignorance folks, my sata ssd has just died a slow death after a good 10 years or so of use. Wanted to get a new one here but suddenly I see ssd's that look like sticks of ram. New one to me. M.2 ssd I see they are called and faster than sata based models?
Anywho, I have an Asus Z170 PRO GAMING mainboard:
(12) M.2 Socket 3, PCIe x4 mode (Gen 3.0)
12 is an M.2 socket, so my question is can I just pick any M.2 ssd from OC's shelves and it'll work?
Thanks for your time
