Z170M Mortar LEDs

So I've been looking at building a white and black matx PC and I've stumbled across this motherboard the only gripe I have with it is that it has red leds at the back of the motherboard to give it a "glow" this won't go with my colour scheme was wondering does anyone know if they can be turned off via bios?

Or would covering them with black electrical tape be a good idea?

It is in the bios.
You should go to bios Advanced mode (F7) then go to Settings->Advanced->Power Management-> On board LED Control.
Here you can turn on/off the LEDs on the bottom of the PCB.

I've also heard of people who paint over them with sharpies to give them a different colour glow.

Thanks really appreciate it, i'll definitely look into coloring them with sharpies as well that sounds like a cool idea.
