Hi guys so since updating my bios a while back I've been working on trying to get my system overclocked again. I'd used the offset method previously but with previous options seemingly missing I've been at a loss. I finally found a guide I was comfortable with.

My settings are:-

Enhanced Multicore Performance - Disabled
CPU Clock Ration - 50
AVX Offset - 0
Intel Turbo Boost Tech - On
Turbo Ratios - All @ 50
Hyper Threading Tech - Enabled
Speed Shift Tech - Disabled
CPU Vcore LLC - Turbo
Cpu Vcore - 1.3

Cinebench R20 shows a near 600 point difference and completes fine.

I am noticing some strange behaviours though, HWinfo seems to show the cores repeatedly jumping between 800Mhz and 5Ghz is this normal? Also if I try to run Prime95 Small FFT's the system instantly hard locks and I get a BSOD.Also getting random BSOD's with the WHEA Uncorrectable Error What can you guys recommend for getting stable?

Windows is probably responsible for the clock speed changing (I mean it's normal behaviour for a modern CPU but it looks disabled in BIOS). Change the windows power plan settings.

Regarding stability at 5GHz... What CPU do you have? Have you tried 4.7 and worked up in steps? Vcore is in the right ballpark but may be too low for your CPU.

Thanks for the replies, I'd totally forgot my specs... I'm running a 9900k, it didn't like certain benchmarks like Timespy but that seems down to something going on with the offset method going by the thread. Otherwise seemed perfectly stable.

I went straight to 5ghz as that's what I had before...

Tried upgrading the bios to the latest 11c and even at 4.9c with a Cpu vcore of 1.35v it just instantly reboots as soon as I go to run P95...

Going to trying going back to the f9 bios and seeing how I fare with that.... I'm just starting to get miffed with this now!

As you know there were major changes going from F9 to F10. I know of some people who have not updated from F9 because it overclocks better for them. F11c should really be avoided as it's really just a beta bios and you will loose performance using it.

Gone back to f9 and will see how I get on. Still can't run prime without getting an instant hard lock. Not sure if this is down to temps as it instantly hits the high 90s and then locks. Even idle temps are double the usual. Don't think my silent loop is coping at all.
