first impressions..

fantastic image & so so quiet..

had a few hours of fantastic HD viewing & then oh oh, corrupted picture & looping sound..

my fx57 has gone bang so no HTPC :(

(serves me right for running it at stock, air cooled)

will get another processor ordered up on monday then theatertek guides etc done..
 
z4 is a HD projector

I had normal cooling, first time its ran at stock since I got it (was under mach II cooling before)
 
Wow never heard of a cpu failing before like that and I have had a few and used to be very cruel to some of them with my vapochill. I guess you gave it an exceptionally hard life with the mach II.

Just got theatertek myself and built up a 4400x2 based HTPC myself. Just gotta program everything in girder to get the remote working nicely :)

thats the thing, my mobo limited vcore to 1.55 so it was hardly stressed under the mach..

ah well, excuse to get an fx60 i suppose ;)
