Z4 Rattling : Broken Spring?

OK so I found out what it was, the weld on this bar had failed:-

I'm having it re-welded this arvo.

I was just about to post this as my response. I've also seen broken light clip brackets cause a similar annoying rattle as the clip retains in the housing but has snapped.

Shoudln't you be having the strut brace replaced under your warranty?

Can't be bothered to mess about, just getting it welded.

Welded? Isn't it bolted?

Not on that end, it's bolted to a flange, the flange has come away from the rest of the car.

I believe they comprise a tube with ends or that end welded on.
