Hi,
I have the Z5500 set up with an X-Fi, and on both entertainment and game mode I have high bass settings, however game mode does seem to have stronger bass than entertainment mode. However today I turned up the volume a bit on game mode, and something seemed to happen - the sub roared loud 'static' from it - and now on game mode only, whenever I turn the volume up past say 25%, the roar is back. It's now unusable on game mode as all you can hear is this loud static from the sub. On entertainment mode however I can turn it up as high as I like.
On game mode I have turned the bass settings to basically off, and I still get the same roar from the sub. When the computer is turned off however, I can turn the volume up and it is fine.
What has happened here, is the sub broke? I don't know what to do as it's fine on entertainment mode.
