Has anyone here tried to place their Z5500 subwoofer right next to their PC's base unit?

My case is made of steel so I was wondering if it should be ok to place my Z5500 subwoofer about 1 foot away from it?

theres a huge notice saying no less than 2 feet away.

When i did, i had radio playing through the sub. So now I've got the sub the other side of the room :)

Hey man lol if ** going to switch on the bass one..it is equipped with a huge magnet so it can interfer with nearby radios and i heard even with the computer cpu (dunno about that tho) and another thing is that you will damage ** computer from the inside lol because a computer isnt some kind of a rally car :D

funny, never had a problem with a sub sitting next to my old htpc. good couple of years it was there. now my £425 worth of ps3 is sitting on top of it. am i mad? time will tell.

they put those warning on there to cover their arses. the magnet on the sub is no worry for a hard drive, hdd's use some of the most powerful magnets in the world. the z5500 uses a plain ferite magnet as far as i know, nowhere near powerful enough to disrupt the drives heads. The amp and electronics are more likely to interfere with a pc.

edit: and it never interfered with my av amp, either.
