Hi there, I have a spare set of Z5500s knocking around, would it be possible to do something crazy and utilise the second set without having an additional soundcard? ie could I do something like connect all the speakers and woofer to an amp and then put the pc jacks into that or something?

Well, not very... I got them free! Friend had to cut off the plugs to his set to send in for a warranty replacement, so I said I'd take them in case I could repair.<F0rb> said:You have a spare set of z5500's just knocking around ? How rich are you ?!
Some soldering and fiddling around later, free set of £200 speakers
Will maybe do this when I upgrade soundcard, for now I've put them in the living room connected to the dvd. Parents were very impressed by DTS.
BTW, does anyone know how I should connect the standard telly to them, I think its only got L and R phono plugs, these need to be converted to a 3 jack set?
