Can i put the Ivy Bridge cpu on the Gigabyte Z68A D3H B3,i have still to purchase a cpu for this mobo build??

Yes, if you look here your board is on the list of Z68 boards that will work with Ivy Bridge CPUs and the new F12 BIOS provides support for these new 22nm CPUs.
