Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

Status code 69 is "North Bridge DXE initialization is started", whatever that means.

Within the first 12 months you should send it back to OcUK for an RMA if faulty.

Have you tried stripping it down to the bare essentials?

Processor, 1 stick of RAM, remove the graphics cards and use the onboard GPU, remove the sound card, just the boot drive connected.

Just installed new motherboard and have exactly the same problem.

No display or power to keyboard or mouse.

Edit: found the problem - Dead SSD drive.

which is better/safer:

multiplier at 46
turbo power limits 200, 200
additional turbo voltage +0.055
CPU PLL Voltage 1.750v
vcore mode to auto
LLC level to 4.

which gives me 1.31v in IBT

or

CPU PLL Voltage 1.750v
vcore mode to auto
LLC level to 3.

which gives me 1.31v in IBT and better idling voltage of 0.094v

I would say no 2, but as long as the idle voltage does not drop too low to maintain cpu required voltage - if that makes sense. Personally I would not worry too much about a few millivolts difference on idle.

so using LLC level to 3 is ok?

asrock boards the LLC level are backwards, e.g level 1 is the highest, level 5 is the lowest..

Loaded the 4.6ghz profile and changed the ram to XMP

What are OK temps?

With the

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo the temps crept up to 80c :(

Prime 95 small FFT

Blend was 72c

Whats a max 24/7 temp?

I'm running a Phanteks coolers in a Haf 932 case and my core temps don't go over 58C for reference, what voltage is your chip getting?

4.6ghz needs 1.38v to be stable...Is this within intels spec?

I'm trying to find the balance between heat, vcore and temps

The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo is not very good tbh...This is not my build but for

someone else. :(

what vcore?

It seems this mobo on profile setting pumps a lot of juice through the cpu.

The 4ghz profile chnages the vcore to 1.356:rolleyes:

Just set the vcore manually thats what i have done. I now have 1.32 set in the bios. under full load from Prime 95 my vcore is now around 1.2. Stable as a rock. :D

I cant personally see a problem with that as I have been as high as level 1 in testing. The main thing is of course stability and temps as long as voltage does not spike to high on load.

ok thanks

i only get afew spikes which go to 1.32v so thats only 0.001 up, i guess thats fine.
