600t looks great, bet those akasa vipers keep the H70 in check. notice any improvements with the new asrock?

My 2600k is running at 4.5GHz and the temps are higher than what i imagined.

Had the H70 and vipers cooling my i7 860 4GHz and that ran cooler than this 2600k?

It's idling now at 35 33 33 39 but under load its something like 60 66 66 71 so theres a jump of 11c in cores?

Ive re-sat the H70 and its slightly better but still rather high.

What voltage are you running it at?

Nice price for the spec but there does seem to be a reason for that - Asrock only have 12 months warranty with the retailer :( this seems kind of weak in comparison to asus for example with 3 years. It's worth considering when comparing parts as anyone that's had a bad experience with hardware not lasting as long as it should will tell you.

So if your motherboard hits the crapper after 12 months your SOL?

Thought it was 2 years warranty? First year with the retailer then the 2nd with Asrock.

That would be acceptable to me. 12 months seems a bit iffy though. I don't think it would deter me from buying the board but I would be tempted to go to a different brand if it was similar.

Looks like I started something here :D I looked for information about warranties on the different manufacturers sites and Asrock stated 12 months, but I'm not actually sure about the EU 2 years thing, it always used to be 12 months in the UK but lately a lot of manufacturers are choosing to offer a minimum 2 years anyways.

AFAIK you can't advertise a warranty and then refuse it simply because you didn't register it anyway, all you should need is proof of purchase. That said I took no chances with my EVGA 10 year warranty for my graphics card :D they do some looong warranties for mainboards as well I think :) they don't do cheap boards though last time I checked :D

Son of a...

Just keep twisting that knife, why don't you? Utter peach :D

Anyway, staying on topic... I'd go for the longest warranty with a reputable manufacturer I could get my hands on. My P55-GD80 is in the process of being replaced (after only 8 months, annoyingly), so we shall see if MSI's RMA procedure is up to snuff.

I was actually thinking of an ATI graphics card I had that went faulty a few months out of warranty :p that was the reason I paid a bit more for an EVGA with the 10 year :D
