Hi Everyone,
I'm putting together a budget system over the next few weeks built around an ASrock z68 pro3 and an i7 2600k.
As ever I'm slightly confused over the choice of memory provided on the compatibility list. The board says it (if I am understanding it correctly) that it will take
My end aim is to overclock the cpu a little.. maybe 4.2-4.4 and I want to get the optimal memory for this. Ill be using my rig for wow, video encoding and most adobe apps like photoshop, Dreamweaver. Also cubase.
I have looked at this set here so far http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517
Any advice ?
jim

My confusion is in exactly how the (oc) works with memory choice, for example if I buy DDR3 1600 do i overclock that to either 2133 or 1866, or is it a case of buying 1866/2133 and overclocking something to allow these models to run ?Supports DDR3 2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
