Hi just a quick question about my new SSD on a Gigabyte Z68-UD4.

I have PCH SATA Control mode set to AHCI , my question is should i have eSATA3 Ctrl Mode set to AHCI also or leave it on IDE ?

Note , i have installed win 7 with PCH SATA / AHCI enabled , if i DO need the eSATA Ctrl on AHCI do i need to reinstall windows/reg hack or will it function correctly as i have previously installed the OS with PCH / AHCI enabled ?

Thanks Lee

The esata setting is for the port at the rear of te motherboard next to all the connectors.

Its independent of the other ports and the Marvel controlled SATA ports (Gsata)

What you have done is absolutely fine.

The only peice of advice I can give is to not use the Grey ports for the SSD, use the white ones.
