I have recently upgraded to a z690 Maximus with a 13th Gen processor. I backflashed the BIOS to the latest version to ensure the processor worked and then installed my sata ssd and HDD's along with my Sabrent Rocket 4.0 NVME. I tried a number of bios setting before installing windows on my SSD. Since them I have been working on the issue for the last two days with no success. I have placed the NVME in the m.2 slot one and the PCIE express adapter I have also installed another NVME in slot one and it does see that NVME either. I have tried settings in the CSM and fastboot but I am stuck.

Any Ideas what the problem could be.

The Z690 comes with a PCIE express adapter that slots into the second PCIE slot, in that adapter you can put two NVME's in. I have disabled the CSM and enalbed and played woith some of the secure boot settings. The usb image was downloaded the day of the install so I am assuming its the latest version. The problem with trying other slots is that the MB has so many panels it requires taking everything out and putting everything back in it's such a ball ache. But I will try removing the sata's first them try other slots and post back.

I set the PCIE to enabled but I don't see a setting for Hyper M.2, I have read the manual supplied but there is no mention if there is a specific setting other then the m.2 setting.

I have tried the bifacation8x/8x this stops my pc from booting, my keyboard goes off and the monitor goes of and I can't tell if the pc is even booting, I don't have integrated graphics on my CPU which I now regret as I am using a 1360kf. Not sure what to do here. I think I will remove the hyper card I just dont like the idea of sharing the 16x slot with my nvme. I will do a total reinstall using Win 11.
