OK, from what i can see, the only thing missing from these motherboards on the chipset is SMart Response Tech? If i am booting from a ssd anyway do i need this?

Would a Z75 be a reasonable cheap alternative to Z77? I only need native sata 3?

If you are going to use a SSD on its own as the boot drive, then you don't need SSD caching.

OK thats cool.. thanks...so if i dont need a top of the range z77 mobo - will these be ok as a cheaper alternative? I just dont see the point of this chipset if more and more people are booting off an ssd?

Only a couple out at the moment that i can see, but about the £70 mark.. just lower than the entry level Z77 here at OC.. But thats my point - Apart from the SRT - why are they cheaper?.. not complaining, just curious really.

I actually dont know the differences, it will be easier for you to visit the manufacturer homepage of the boards and then compare features/connectivity that way.

Found this comparison table for info... answered my own question with this one!

Anyway.. for info apart from SRT and multiple GPU config there is no other differences! (I dont have more than one graphics card so its ideal for me, but appreciate its not for everyone..

Check out the IB table
