Hey chaps,

Was just wondering,Ive noticed a lot of the Z77 chipset boards support Raid,But a lot of them in the description do not mention if its "Intel" raid or those crappy alternative controlers.

Is all Z77 boards have Intel Raid?

This is the board im looking at.

Gigabyte Z77-DS3H

Would the raid on that board be good for 2x vertex 2 60gb SSDs in Raid 0?

That board you have listed doesn't feature a third party chip to provide additional SATA ports, so the RAID will be built using the Intel chipset.

someone's going to call me a troll for saying this so often, but that board is terrible for overclocking. no voltage regulation for the cpu. it also reduces as much as 10% of graphics/gaming performance, as per a recent review. and i can confirm that my integrated intel gpu is at least 5% slower than the same chip on other boards (though my gpu might actually be malfunctioning). it's money not worth saving imo...
