I have been getting random BSOD and also some crashes, funnily enough only in SimCity (which I know is buggy) but still I have gone down the route to check my BIOS.

I have been told elsewhere I am also getting some "WHEA entries issues" (Apparently - These are calculation errors, otherwise know as
an internal parity, that the CPU is correcting "on the go" typically those are the none fatal errors hence the instability of certain apps, but sometimes they are which is the one of the main causes of the hardware related bug check.??????).

This is an issue I know nothing about. I understand this is sometimes due to overclocking, which I have not done to any component. So thought I should consider looking at my BIOS.

My BIOS is F14, and it has been suggested I clear CMOS to see if that gives more stability.

Maybe I should also then flash BIOS to F18 or F19b.

I should have posted here in the first place, as I always get great advice.

Any help would really be appreciated.

are you stock or overclocked? needs a touch more cpu v to get rid of whea parity 19 errors

Thanks for your reply.

I am not overclocked in any area, at least intentionally. Machine assembled by O/C - I installed drivers / OS etc.

Are you suggesting by saying "needs a touch more cpu v to get rid of whea parity 19 errors " I need to increase voltage to solve my issues ? - not strong in this area so any help would be appreciated.

Thans

Set CPU v to normal in the bios, set CPU bclk to 100 and set vcore voltage response to fast and pwm phase control to extreme performance

All of the above will help with stability whether stock or overclocked
