Z790 HERO U32G2X2 USB-C not working

I am having a weird issue on a new build where the front panel USB-C port does not work. It is a clean windows 11 install with all drivers installed separately. The back USB-C ports work without issues. I have double checked the cable connected to my motherboard and it is fully inserted in its slot.

Any ideas?

Have you tried straighting the cable near the plug it does like its bent sharply but that could Just be the picture angle.

Are you using your existing case or bought a new one too, if it's your old one did the usb-c work ok on the old motherboard?

That USB C port is PD compatible, have you tried plugging in the 6-pin PCIe power connector next to it?

Thanks everyone for your help on this. I took the cable out, put a less aggressive bend on it and made sure it clicked it. Prior to this I never heard a click, strangely it made a pronounced click sound lol. Maybe I wasn't applying enough pressure. It's all working now
