Z87 & Broadwell support

Does anyone have any news or insight on whether Broadwell processors will likely be supported on Z87?

Most likely yes since their is no architectural difference between 8 and 9 series chipset.

Guess it will just be a microcode bios update, might be a problem if the Z87 is bought new with the chip tho.

If the devils canyon release is anything to go by, we wont know until very close to release. Intel didn't confirm Z87 support for DC until the last minute, a few board manufacturers jumped the gun by confirming support with bios updates, Asus releasing there's just over a week before DC hit the shelves.

Also heard a rumour that the broadwell chips may be soldered unlike previous haswell/Ivybridge cpu's.
