Folks, Ive got this old motherboard that I have been using awhile, its done well for me and I am looking to eek a little more out of it by upgrading to full 32GB.

Its DDR3 memory I presume that I need, but it seems OCUK is fresh out of DDR3 stuff.

Any recommendations on brands or type of 32gb sticks I should look out for?

Folks.... if in the manual it says 2400(OC) does this mean that the RAM has to be overclocked? And does this mean that the CPU will also be overclocked?
Or is there some kind of divider or something?

In a nutshell am I better off getting the fastest ram possible or would I run into the possibility of problems since the ram is being overclocked?

Thanks for clarifying folks!

Sorry for not providing all the information. Stupid thing to do!

Its an MSI Z87-G45 with an i7-4770K.

Currently I have 4 x 4GB which I am just going to take out and sell on, I believe this board only supports up to a maximum of 32GB which is 4 x 8GB sticks.
So looking for a kit of such... but would also like to understand regarding the timings which state (OC).

Thanks opethdisciple.

The specs for your mobo says it supports up to 3000MHz (OC)

Here is a list of all the compatible memory for your motherboard.

You should be fine with any DDR3 ram to be honest but to be on the safe side try to find a set of sticks on this list.
