A friend is making the move to MATX or mITX in the new year, and has offered me his Z87 Sabertooth for my next build. I was wondering if owners of the board could tell me if the following is possible?
Basically, I'll be water cooling and would like to control all radiator fans automatically, ramping up as the water temps rise. So, if I was to use a temp sensor like this one, and hook it directly to the Sabertooth (instead of the included thermistors), and connect the radiator PWM fans to the motherboard also, could I use Thermal Radar/AI Suite to create an automatic fan profile which would up the RPMs as water temps rise? Or do the thermistors on the board only allow monitoring?
Hope that makes sense! If any clarification is needed, please ask
