Z87...Samsung green

Using them fine on Z87X-UD3H. Got them running at 2222MHz at 9-10-10-20-1T

Hi,Have just put a new system together using asus z87-A,when trying to boot,case fans,noctua d14 fans n graphics card fans spin up,but red mem light comes on mb along with 20 slow short beeps,press mem button,system restarts 2-3 times before red light also goes out,but then CPU red light comes on along with another 20 slow short beeps?
No output to monitor...have tried with one stick of samsung green,without graphics card and also reseated CPU...no joy.

Aah,thanks shadow,been wondering wether to order in the ud3 and give that a try,could then rma asus if any joy.
Been looking around and there's similar problems on a few asus z87 boards,but normaly with red light and no beeps,and intermittent after getting system up and running...hmm,less I have a dead CPU,doubt that tho,CPU and socket visually look fine.

have you read the manual to find out what that beep sequence means?

Less I'm going blind,nothing about beep codes in manual James.
One website I stumbled into said 20 beeps suggested psu or mainboard,but even seen that contradicted,going to try another mb Saturday.

Just a quick update,rebuilt system using gigabyte ud3h and working now,only installed windows but ok so far.
Stripped n rebuilt twice with the asus,reseated CPU 3 times!!
Just looking at the asus board,and tho it's inconclusive to my eye,there's one pin in middle of top row that just might look a tiny bit..? well different to others,anyway least my swearing has eased off!

The Samsung Green are working in ASUS for sure. I have tested in Hero and Z87 Pro for 4ghz Challenge with Overclocking. 2400mhz 9-12-12-21 1T 5-108-auto-10-4-26-4-5-6 Thirds 4-5-4-20-5-4-4-4-4 11-11-11.
