Hi All

I have one niggling issue in Windows.

I am connecting the on board graphics to my Dell U2713HM monitor via a HDMI cable.
For some reason i am being restricted to resolution of 1920x1080 when Gigabye website states it can handle upto 2560x1600 (see below).

I am trying to get it to output 2560x1440 to match my monitors max resolution.

Any idea why I cannot get to this resolution?

"1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz
* Support for HDMI 1.4a version."

Use displayport or duallink DVI.

Scrap that last bit, the board doesn't have duallink DVI, so use displayport.

Thanks for that. I just checked the Gigabyte website again and it has the same max resolution for displayport as with HDMI.

Would the displayport deffo give better results as i would need to purchase one?

1 x DisplayPort port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz
* Support for DisplayPort 1.2 version.

Thanks

Im wondering if you need some special HDMI cable or if the monitor needs to support HDMI 1.4a?

Sorry, this sort of thing is not a specialty of mine.

Please try Displayport and get back to me.
