Hi all, I built a PC for my son yesterday. I got a H80i cooler to sit on top on the processor which is using a Z91 pro mobo.
Obviously there is not a couple fan directly on the cpu. I plugged the cpu fan cable to the 3 pin connector that is diagonal right of the cpu? It's just above another 4 pin connector.
AAll fans are working, tells are 36 at idle so I know the cooler is working. When I reboot I do get a message just after the BIOS screen that cpu fan is missing.
Do I turn this off in bios or do. I have the cable in the wrong connector or even the wrong way round?
Also, he has a Coolermaster Trooper case in White, I have mounted the PSU with the fan facing upward toward roof of case. Shod this be pointing downward? There is mesh so it would make sense, was just the available gap for airflow was putting me off.
