zacate performace

Have just tried it for you, the frame rate stayed the same when I added three shaders so I'm presuming it can handle it, test was 1080p x.264 with sharpen complex, 16-235 -> 0-255 and edge sharpen shaders.

it's 1080p but not 1980x1080, 1776x1000.

4gb of RAM but no idea how much is assigned to GPU, GPU and CPU both overclocked though if that makes any difference?

whats the performance like in w7mc and can it handle multiple shaders in mp-hc as setup in the guide

Performance is quite good. E-350 has a decent integrated HD6xxx series GPU, which competes on par with some of the low end discrete solutions AMD put out last gen. Here is a link to a multimedia page of a review which pits it against ION boards: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/amd-e-350_11.html#sect0

It most certainly can handle multiple shaders in MPC-HC. :) You get even more out of it if you encode using ATI's codecs. Hope this helps.

cheers for the replies guys :-)

been looking at options
Asus E35M1-M PRO £104
OCZ Intel Extreme XMP 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 10666C7 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit £35.99

or

Gigabyte G41M Combo Intel G41 (Socket 775) DDR2/DDR3 microATX Motherboard £39.98
Intel Celeron Dual Core E3400 "LGA775" 2.60GHz (800FSB) - Retail £36.98
OCZ Intel Extreme XMP 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 10666C7 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit (OCZ3X1333LV4GK) £35.99
MSI ATI Radeon HD 5450 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £31.99

I guess the e3400 would make w7mc nice and smooth, the menus were always a bit choppy/slow with my atom/ion setup...

If it helps I've just gone for an ASRock E350. Building in an ANtec ISK100 case with a single 4gb ram module and 250gb hard drive. Should handle win 7 fine mate. Every review I have read shows it to be night and day ahead of the ION's. The whoel system is costing me £200 notes. Treated myself to a Logitech diNovo mini as well ;-)

There is an Asus E350 deluxe with passive cooling and usb3 but I felt in my circumstances neither were worth the premuium.
