This game is ****ing incredible, it's a beta atm and it's on the Greenlight, so get voting!

Do not be put off by the fact it's text + image based, it's an incredible little title and offers the most immersive and versatile experience you'll find. The beta is only 48 turns and then you 'win' and in that time you can do about 25% of the features that will be in the full game. I find it to be incredibly difficult so far and have done nothing but get eaten time and time again. :D

I've tried moving base from the starting area to other areas, I made base in the local School only to find out half way through that there are 23 bloody zombies inside and pew pew I got eaten. :D

Zafehouse: Diaries is a tactical game of survival, planning, resource management and problem-solving, coming soon to PC. Manage your survivors’ needs, prejudices and motivations and you might stay around long enough to be rescued.

Tell your story

Zafehouse: Diaries uses a unique, diary-based interface. It records your actions, reveals the state of the world, provides hints and clues to help you, and can be exported and shared when the game is over.

Pick your battles

A sophisticated combat engine models all battles in the game, from a zombie slipping in through a bathroom window, to a swarm flooding into the hospital you thought was secure. The combat engine takes into account each survivor’s abilities and relationships, the environment, weapons, items and more.

Task-based UI

A simple, streamlined interface makes it easy to issue orders to your survivors, without getting bogged down in micromanagement. Will you get them to search the location, watch for zombies, barricade the windows, lay traps, prepare food or patrol outside?

Face dilemmas

screen_e_crop.jpg

Will you leave a survivor trapped in the basement with some zombies so you can prepare for a fight? What if the Piper drops by and says he’ll lead some zombies away from the house as long as you give him some live bait? Dilemmas force you to make difficult choices for the good of the group.

Know your survivors

Survivors have unique personalities and skills – use them wisely and the group will work efficiently. But they don’t just wait around for you to give them an order. They’ll explore, maintain barricades, socialise, play games and tinker.

Relationships matter

Make sure you check in on your survivors and see how they’re getting along. Poor relationships mean they won’t work well together, and may even end up fighting – or worse.

Customisable

Add your own names, portraits and locations to the game – play Zafehouse: Diaries with a group of friends in your hometown.

The games really good, demo is quite broken though, a lot of gamebreaking stuff in there. The large font is for people in 1080p, I can barely read the standard size font.

The last game of it I played, one survivor died on a scouting run, the other had a disagreement with the 3rd and threw a refridgerator at her and killed her, he then got ripped to shreds by a horde of zombies because the A.I decided to go lock itself in the bathroom after they broke in, despite having a shotgun. :p

How is this huge text?

I'll cater to your **** monitors then and drop the size ;). I see why the image size resitriction is so strict when everyone here runs a desktop resolution of 640x360 :p.

Also @ comment about working on the game: are you high?

Best resolution ever. :D

Gotta say I was getting pretty annoyed with how tiny the text on this site was at a high resolution, so props to Winter for that CTRL + mousewheel thing, much better now :p.

Looks pretty boring, however that is based on the fact it looks like a virtual book.

I could be completely wrong lol.

Looks very similar to an app I have on the iPad, not sure of the name. Will try and find it.

Edit: 'Rebuild' it's called
Edit2: Also a free online game.
