Zalman CNPS9500 direction?

Hey all,

Got my new kit coming today which includes an E6400, DS3 and Zalman 9500. I was just wondering if it's possible to choose the direction that the Zalman faces when fitting? It would be nice if the airflow from the fan was pointed out towards the rear fan on my V2000 so it doesn't end up back in the case. Is this possible?

yea it sure is as its the way i have my 9500 seated on the DS3. Just read the instruction booklet and it will show you how

The fan on the 9500 sucks air in and blows it back over the heatsink, so if you want the air going to your rear case fan, the Zalman should have its fan facing the front of the case. I misread the intructions and had mine going the other way for a while, and I was getting temps of around 60C under load. Then I swapped it around and my temps went down to around 48C
