Zalman CNPS9500 GFX Card Mod

I seen someone ages ago on another forum that added a 9500 to a gfx card.

Anyone know what am talking about or got the link

It was a bit of a bodge but it worked droped temps loads. Made it possible to get the card up to 700mhz on the core [with a volt mod] .

Its came off the stock cooler that came with the card.

i aint got one like that i have the areocool x1950 which uses studs

and if your wondering why i am thinking of swappin the cooler is because it wont fit in my pv-v600 case with the side fan on and i have a spare cnps9500 sitting here

If u are thinking of trying this just remember to be careful of the fan clipping the other pci slots. the cooler needs to be at a slight angle to the card to avoid this. Plus i had to bend loads of the fins to make it fit, ruining a perfectly serviceable heatsink
