I'm going to install this in a 900-2, just wanted to know if you need the fan controller or not? plus is it best to stick on outside or inside?

your cpu cooler would be pointless on the outside :/ OJ

The fan controller isnt necessary but it is quite helpful at times i.e when your OC'ing or gaming, and mine is on the outside just so I can turn it right down if my comp is on overnight to keep it quiet.

If you've got your BIOS set to adjust the speed depending on the heat you shouldn't really need the fan controller, though it won't hurt to allow you to turn it up when gaming.
I used to keep mine on the inside of my case as I didn't like playing with it much when I had one. Subsequently I don't even use one any more. The BIOS knows when its getting hot and knows what to do :D

Depends what system you have a little. I do remember the zalman fan controllers aren't the prettiest things around though.
