Zalman CNPS9500A

I'm going to put together a spare pc I have for the young lady.

The thing is at the moment the only cpu cooler I have spare is the Scythe Ninja II Rev. B and I don't like the push pin setup with this.

I am using the GA-X38-DQ6 and I was wondering would I need to take the backplate off the board to fit this Zalman CNPS9500A?

Just found that I don't need to buy a new cooler but can purchase something called a CPU Cooler Stabilizer do overclockers do anything like this that fit the Scythe Ninja II.
