Hi there,

i'm going to be getting this case : Zalman HD160+

And of course i want to put the best cpu cooler i can get on there to cool a Q6600.
I need the computer as close to slient as possible, without watercooling, but i have no idea what cpu cooler will fit in there.
I'm willing to spend upto 50 pounds on it (not including fan)

Also im thinking about getting a 8800 gts for it and if do, what cooler could i upgrade it with and still fit it inside the case?

Thanks in advance

Looking at the specs the height of the case is 160mm, so you could get a cooler which has a height of 160mm but then you need to take into account the ammount of height the motherboard spacers will take and also the motherboard its self.

I think a safe choice would be Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler as the height is 126.5mm and its near silent and will keep the Q6600 quite cool.

hmm, see - i've always spent a large amount on a cooler, simply because i dont like noise, would i not be better with a Noctua NH-U9F CPU Cooler or Thermaltake BigTyp 120 VX?

I dont need/want to overclock at all, i just need silence :)

Trust me the Arctic cooler is very silent I have one my self, and I can not hear it at all. Sometimes spending lots of money is sometimes not such a good idea lol as you can buy better things which are cheaper :).

Zalmans own CNPS8000 is a brilliant cooler I have been using on my Q6600.
very quiet and low profile - helps to send air around all the mobo components too.
