Zalman M3 MATX Case

zalman cases aren't generally good quality though...i mean it's decent
but at fifty squids, i'd expect it to feel solid
think it's priced a bit too high tbh

I think these look pretty good.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

It does look good! What's the thing in between the right USB port and the reset button though?

silverstone have one of the highest flowrates on GamerNexus testing . specially their Raven and standard ATX cases- but the latter looks naff!

also handy rep on here @SilverStone Saku

Ah thanks! I was looking at the non plus model. Just realised it won't take 140mm fans either. So that's put me off.

The Silverstone one does look a bit pants! Although the fara R1 looks nice though! Not sure when that's coming out.

looks pants but performs well , along with well made . Shame they never made a Raven mATX case, airflow/temps would be unmatched by rivals at this class.

Recently picked up an RL08, which is similar to the PS15 but internally its upside down (PSU still at bottom though).

Kind of oddball, but it seems decent. Really needs a couple of top fans to feed the GPU directly with fresh air.
That's an interesting option on the RL08. Have you done a build in it yet?

An Rv02 mini would have been mega, maybe if they updated the look a bit though. I was always a fan of their rotated mobo fortress case. Can't remember the name but it was a bit of a giant.

I have. Still need to sort a few minor bits out but even with a relatively power hungry card (Vega 56) it seems to work well. Does come with those top fans by the way, brain fart on my part. It doesn't come with front fans so if you're air cooled on the CPU you may want to put a fan or two there to push fresh air to the cooler. 280mm radiator fits there too if you're watercooling.

I want to replace the power cables at some point as the stock ones are a bit ugly and have double connectors. Also need to piggyback the pump RGB connector as I ran out of headers.

Build-wise it was all pretty simple, though removing the HDD cage was a PITA. Would be nice if they did an option with no optical bay at all so the front mesh didn't have the cutout.

I make no apologies for the ridiculous RGB vomit.

Looks really good dude! So it just comes with two fans?? Also just to check you've got 4 intakes 2x front and 2x top, then one exhaust at the rear?

Are you happy with the temps?

This looks like something which would work for me as I think I'll need to put the case on the left side of my desk.

I saw one review which said it's impossible to remove the HDD cage.

What fans are you USING? They look awesome! think I'll go air cooled because I don't like the idea of aAIO. Knowing my luck I'll get a leak hahaha.

Awesome reply thank you! :)

I'm the same as you with the preference of PC on the left so the inverted layout is very nice for that. Obviously though this means any text and logos will be upside down most likely so if that'll bother you bear that in mind!

Comes with 3 120mm fans, I think the default config was 2 in the front and 1 exhaust.

Temps seem decent for a smallish case. Vegas tend to run a bit hot but I'm not getting any noticeable thermal throttling nor excessive fan speeds. Definitely needed the fans at the top though to give the card some nice ambient air.

The HDD cage needed to be "manipulated" quite heavily to remove it because the PSU shroud it sits under is riveted in. The cage is made from quite thin gauge sheet metal so it can easily be bent a little bit to remove, and it'll bend back into shape if you wanted to reinstall. Not ideal and not something you'd want to do several times.

Fans are Thermaltake Riing Plus fans, mix of the standard ones and the Trio ones:

Word of note with these - they use their own proprietary fan/RGB controller. I got the rear and tops off eBay without the controller and as such I have run out of headers with the stock 5 port controller. I got the additional fans cheap because they were fan only, no controller, used off ebay. You can get a separate hub that will let you connect to motherboard fan headers and RGB with 9 ports, but this won't work for me because my board does not have the right type of RGB header. I on;y "need" one more port for the pump RGB, but I believe it is possible to piggyback two fans to the same connector so I may do that to free up a port.

Seems pretty reasonable if it comes with 3 x fans. I picked up three corsair ML140, so I'm trying to find a case where I can make good use of them, albeit they're quite noisy so I'd have to not have them blasting away on full!

Also very interesting to not about the manipulation required to remove the HDD cage.

Thanks for the heads up about the fans, I keep thinking it'll be cool then I keep realising it's still quite a lot of faff so I'm leaning towards a LED-less build. Thanks again!
