Zalman Res1 v2 + EK 4870 X2 VGA Water Block

Hi ,

as the title suggests, is it possible? I have a spare Zalman Reserator1 v2 knocking about and want to put it to use. There doesn't appear to be any Zalman 4870 X2 W/C blocks coming out so was wondering, more hoping, that it is possible.

Should work if it's the only thing in the loop - but the pump may be the weak point - full cover blocks are very restrictive and when the X2 flips to 3d clocks the water might not be moveing quick enought to stop a temp spike.

Hi,

thanks for the reply shadowscotland, yeah it would be the only thing in the loop as I have my CPU running from a seperate reserator kit. Long story as to why I have two. So just wanted to utilise it since I upgraded to the 4870x2 it is redundant like my x1950xt it was cooling. Hmm well if it won't do a proper job I might just opt for air cooling. The ole 'Accelero XTREME 4870X2 cooler' looks interesting.
