Hi there.

I am about to fit a Zalman Reservator to my kids computer. I've been banned from running another BBC Climate model on it until I make it silent. Wives hey!!
I've got the Reservator and bits off Ebay but no liquid to go in it yet. Are these cooling additives a con? Do I really need them? What about car antifreeze, that would stop corrosion surely? Any recommendations as to what's best to use? Your tips / experiences would be most welcome

Thanks Everyone. Cheers.

Pete.

There is a large debate about additives. A post in the overclocking and cooling section will have people throwing all sorts of idea at you :)

I know that every ° counts when overclocking.

Just make sure you get distilled or de-ionised water (there the same thing essentially) instead of plain tapwater.

Best thing to do is get some Zerex or Water wetter additive.

You will need 25ml for every 500ml of di-ionised or distilled water you use, i would imagine the reserator takes about a litre of water so get 50ml and bung that in.

You can get de-ionised water from Tescos or Wilkinsons, Wilkos is cheaper though! The manual says 2L, Wilkos is 52p a Litre bottle. I used the Zalman stuff that came with mine :)
