You may remember that I ordered a system not too long ago. As this is only my second build, I am not sure if this is correct or not. I am trying to build it now, but have ran into a few problems so any help will be appreciated. :)
Firstly, I am trying to install the MSI H77MA-G43 into a Zalman T1 (both are available here at OcUK), however there are 8 holes on the motherboard, whereas I have only been supplied with 6 stand offs (2 of which were already installed). It says that I should have 7 stand offs included, but I don't. It also includes cable ties in the manual, but I didn't receive any.
As well as this, the button for the optical drive doesn't seem to 'click' in when I press it, I've tried pushing the DVD drive down further but it just seems like it doesn't want to go any further.
Finally, (non-T1) related, but after doing my exterior build (it all worked fine), I then went to move on to migrating it to the case but I can't seem to get the motherboard cable out. In my first build (back in May), I built it straight into the case but I thought I'd do an exterior one first this time around. The 'clip' at the end of the cable isn't under the 'ledge' sticking out from the socket on the motherboard. I thought you had to pull it and then wiggle it until it released. Am I not putting enough force into it, or am I even doing it right? The PSU is a Corsair CX430W.
Thanks for any help, much appreciated. :D

If the 430W is like other corsair PSUs there might be a small lever you have to press. That said, corsair cables are also very stiff often. It might just require a bit more extra force. Try one end, then the other, then the other, back and forth, and see if there's some movement.

Did you purchase the case from OcUK? (Don't mention competitor if you didn't) if so, it may be worth getting in touch with customer services about the lack of motherboard stand offs and cable ties.

The optical drive issue, again, I'd recommend getting in touch with the relevant customer services.

Finally, if these are only minor niggles, I suspect you can getaway with only 6 standoffs, that said, motherboard standoffs are, I believe, industry standard, so you could just buy a couple as plenty of places sell them.

Yeah I've currently got 6 stand offs installed and it's all working fine. As for the optical drive, it still doesn't want to go any further so I may have to contact customer services.
Thanks.
